Groundbreaking for Güzelyurt’s Social Housing Project set for March 28

Prime Minister Ünal Üsel has recently announced the re-implementation of long-awaited social housing projects. It has been emphasized that the government has been diligently working to fulfill its promises to the public since it first took office. The aim is to provide affordable housing options for young people.
The first step in this initiative is the groundbreaking ceremony for the first social housing project in Güzelyurt, which is scheduled to take place on March 28. Similar projects in Alayköy and Karpaz regions are also in the final stages of preparation.
In order to make these projects a reality, significant legal arrangements have been made to ensure that the housing options are modern, accessible, and affordable. Updates have been made to the housing acquisition law and all necessary regulations have been put into place.
Additionally, starting from April 5th, new rural land distributions will begin in Southern Mesarya. This initiative is aimed at supporting young people in rural areas to build homes on their own land. Infrastructure improvements in previously distributed rural areas have been completed, and new distributions are planned to take place nationwide. The government is also working on providing loans to young people who own rural land to help them build homes.
Prime Minister Üstel has reiterated the government’s commitment to implementing projects that will enhance the welfare of the people. The focus on social housing projects and rural land distributions for young people is seen as a long-term solution to the housing issue.
