Gun violence erupts at funeral visitation
A tragic incident occurred at a condolence house in Sultan Abdülhamit District, where an argument escalated into violence. According to reports, a dispute broke out between Yasin A. and Cuma Ayar, Muhsin Ayar, Mehmet Ayar, and Hasan Ayar during a gathering to mourn a deceased relative. Yasin A. left the gathering but returned shortly after with a shotgun, which he used to indiscriminately open fire inside the house.
Amidst chaos and fear, the bullets from the shotgun struck Cuma Ayar, Muhsin Ayar, Hasan Ayar, Mehmet Ayar, Şerif Sarıbayındır, and Orhan Maydonozoğlu – individuals with whom Yasin A. had previous grievances. Following the attack, Yasin A. fled the scene, prompting the arrival of police and medical teams. The injured were promptly taken to Nizip State Hospital for treatment.
Tragically, Cuma Ayar and Şerif Sarıbayındır succumbed to their injuries despite the efforts of medical professionals. As authorities continue their search for the suspect Yasin A., who remains at large, the injured individuals receive ongoing medical care. This senseless act of violence has left a community in mourning and serves as a sobering reminder of the consequences of conflict and aggression.
