Hamas Leader Abdurrahman Sedid Begins New Negotiation Tour for Cease-Fire Agreement
Hamas leader Abdurrahman Sedid has made a statement regarding the talks in Doha, which was published on the movement’s website. Sedid announced that a new negotiation tour for the cease-fire agreement has begun.
The negotiations involve discussions with US hostage works Special Representative Adam Boehler, with the aim of reaching an agreement that includes the transfer of prisoners, ending the attacks on the Gaza Strip by Israel, and finalizing the agreement for the second stage of negotiations.
Following the completion of the 42-day first stage of the cease-fire and captive exchange agreement provided by Hamas, Israel implemented measures such as stopping the entrance of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip from March 2nd and immediately supplying electricity to the region.
Despite uncertainties about Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire, US hostage works Special Representative Bohler met with Hamas officials in Qatar to discuss the issue of releasing US citizens held in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli State Television Kan reported that the Israeli negotiation delegation has traveled to Doha, where talks are expected to start in the coming hours. The delegation aims to discuss the “end of the war” and a “permanent ceasefire agreement” with the Hamas authority.
The talks in Doha mark an important step towards achieving peace and stability in the region, as both parties work towards finding a lasting solution to the conflict. Stay tuned for further updates on the progress of the negotiations.
