Hands-On: A New Project Exploring Kyrgyz Language through Gestures and Dactylic Alphabet
New Project to Learn Kyrgyz Language Through Gestures and Dactylic Alphabet
Bishkek – A new project initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, in collaboration with the TV channel Bilim Zhana Ilim, aims to facilitate learning the Kyrgyz language through gestures and the dactylic alphabet.
According to the press service of the ministry, this project is a special initiative to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the national education system and the 35th anniversary of the adoption of the law on the state language. Its primary goal is to improve access to education in the Kyrgyz language for individuals with disabilities.
The dactylic alphabet, which is an auxiliary system of sign language, assigns a gesture to each letter, allowing for the representation of both individual letters and complex concepts. This innovative approach to language learning will provide a unique opportunity for individuals to learn the Kyrgyz language in a more accessible and inclusive manner.
The first lessons of this project are already being broadcast on the Bilim Zhana Ilim TV channel, with additional content available on YouTube. Links to these programs can be found on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science, offering a valuable resource for those interested in expanding their language skills through gestures and visual communication.
Overall, this project represents a significant step towards promoting linguistic diversity and inclusivity in education, offering a new and engaging way for individuals to learn and communicate in the Kyrgyz language.
