Hard Work Gone in 3.5 Minutes: Tears Follow
Nilgün Oflaz, a resident of Antalya’s Kepez district, was left devastated when her hard work disappeared in a matter of minutes. Oflaz locked her three-wheeled electric motorcycle, bought for 60,000 liras with a loan from the bank, to the balcony railing at her home overnight. Loaded with materials she sold at markets, the motorcycle was her means of making a living.
However, in the morning, she discovered that her motorcycle had been stolen. The iron lock had been cut, and the tarpaulin on the motorcycle was thrown into the garden. Police teams arrived at the scene and found that the theft had been captured on security camera footage. The footage revealed that the suspect took only 3.5 minutes to cut the lock, take the motorcycle, and disappear.
After shedding tears over the loss, Oflaz expressed her distress, stating, “He was my bread and butter. I was making a living by going to the market and selling things. I couldn’t even pay off the loan I took out from the bank. If the thief brings my motorcycle and returns it, I will not complain. I’m in a very bad situation.”
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing as Oflaz hopes for the return of her stolen motorcycle.
