Turkmenistan’s State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange Sees Strong Demand for Petrochemical and Light Industry Products

During trading at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan on Wednesday, March 13, the country’s petrochemical and light industry products, as well as Turkmen carpets, were in high demand both domestically and in foreign markets.

In the foreign market, entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, and Malta were eager to strike deals with the State Concern “Turkmennebit” to purchase low-sulfur heating oil and base oil of the “SN-350” and “SN-600” brands. Meanwhile, representatives of Turkish business circles engaged in deals with Turkmen entrepreneurs for the procurement of cotton yarn.

On the domestic front, Turkmen businessmen closed a deal with the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan for the purchase of cotton yarn, while also acquiring float glass from the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan.

In total, 11 transactions were completed during the auction, amounting to 14,067,000 manats and $29,527,200.
