Historic First Flight from Dushanbe Touches Down at Manas Airport

On March 14, 2025, a Somon Air plane successfully landed at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan after flying from Dushanbe. The plane was greeted with a water salute, marking the start of a new chapter in air travel between the two countries.
According to Somon Air, the first technical flight to Tajikistan, specifically to the city of Khujand, is set to depart from Kyrgyzstan on Sunday, March 16. This flight signals the beginning of regular flights between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which are scheduled to start on March 23. These flights will operate once a week, specifically on Sundays.
The departure times for these flights have been announced as 10:30 a.m. from Dushanbe and 2:20 p.m. from Bishkek. This new air travel connection comes after President Sadyr Japarov announced the resumption of air traffic between the two countries starting from March 14. The planned routes include Dushanbe to Bishkek and Bishkek to Khujand.
This new development in air travel between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is expected to strengthen the ties between the two countries and provide more convenient travel options for passengers. Travelers can now look forward to easier access between the two nations thanks to these new flight routes.
