Honor Commits to Launching the “Flawless Foldable Smartphone”
Honor CEO Zhao Ming has made a bold promise regarding the company’s upcoming Honor Magic V2 device, dubbing it “the perfect smartphone with a transparent screen”. In an interview with ixbt.com, Ming expressed his confidence in surpassing the limitations of traditional folding screens.
Ming stated, “According to traditional thinking, the evolution of folding screens has reached its limit. Because no matter how thin a smartphone is, it’s impossible to be thinner than a USB-C port. We rejected this statement and made the perfect smartphone with a folding screen.”
Those sentiments were backed by a journalist who had the opportunity to test the final version of the smartphone. Confirming Ming’s claims, the journalist noted that the Honor Magic V2 is exceptionally thin, even when folded. The device’s design makes it appear more like a regular smartphone rather than a folding one. Additionally, it is said to fit comfortably in one’s hand, surpassing the iPhone 14 Pro Max in terms of ergonomics.
Notably, Zhao Ming had previously expressed his belief that the upcoming iPhone 15 would not differ significantly from the iPhone 14. He described the Honor Magic V2 as a truly revolutionary product, positioning it as a unique alternative in the market.
The Honor Magic V2 is set to be unveiled to the public on July 12, generating anticipation and excitement among tech enthusiasts and smartphone users alike.
