Hospitality Fund Urges Development of Southern Shore of Issyk-Kul Lake for Tourism

The Tourism Development Support Fund in Kyrgyzstan is focusing on the development of the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake, as announced by its head, Kudret Taychabarov, at the International Tourism Forum. The northern shore of the lake is already thriving, with all facilities booked up until September, so the fund is turning its attention to new projects in the south.

One of the major initiatives is the construction of a new road by the Ministry of Transport, which is expected to increase tourist flow to the area. Additionally, the Fund has taken over management of Sakazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon and Dead Lake, with plans to build new facilities and improve infrastructure on the southern shore.

Among the planned projects is the construction of a recreation area in Tosor, which will include facilities for health improvement and sports camps for foreign visitors. The Fund also aims to take over the ecological post at the entrance to Balykchy, with all ecological fees collected from there going towards the development of the Issyk-Kul region.

These developments are expected to further boost tourism in Kyrgyzstan and enhance the visitor experience at Issyk-Kul lake. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting projects.
