A father in Bursa’s district of Inegol has taken two children hostage in their home, and police and gendarmerie teams have been trying to persuade him for more than 15 hours.

According to reports, yesterday at noon, a fire was reported in a building in the Orhaniye neighborhood of the district, prompting the police, fire department, and 112 Emergency Health Team to respond to the scene.

It was determined that the suspect, Hüseyin G., set fire to the house using a flammable substance, but the fire was quickly extinguished by the teams. Following this incident, the teams identified the suspect’s residence in the Alibeyköy neighborhood and began working on his arrest.

Hüseyin G. then took two children hostage with a knife in front of the authorities. Safety measures were put in place around the house, and a negotiation team was brought in to try and persuade the suspect to release the children. The negotiation team has been working on convincing Hüseyin G. for over 15 hours now.
