Suspects Arrested in Drug Bust in Avcılar
A local operation led by the Avcılar Police Department Public Security Bureau has resulted in the arrest of three individuals involved in drug trafficking. Acting on a tip-off, the police found evidence of drug sales taking place at a hotel located on the D-100 Highway side road in the Gümüşpala District.
With the authorization from the prosecutor’s office, a thorough search was conducted in three rooms of the hotel, revealing a significant amount of illegal substances and other related items. A total of 3 kilograms and 105 grams of methamphetamine, 84 pieces of 1 gram each of marijuana, 25 ecstasy pills, and 12 Lyrica pills were seized during the operation. Additionally, an unlicensed gun, a magazine containing 15 cartridges, 2 precision scales, and 56,100 Turkish liras in cash were confiscated.
The suspects, identified as KA, MZY, and EO, were apprehended at the scene of the crime. The investigation into the incident is ongoing as authorities work to uncover more details and identify any possible additional suspects or accomplices.
