Humanitarian Ceasefire in Gaza Ends

Far Right-Wing Minister Calls to Crush Gaza and Return There
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir of Israel’s far-right party has ignited controversy by calling for the occupation of the Gaza Strip. Ben-Gvir made his statement on social media, demanding that Israel continue its attacks in Gaza without interruption.
“We must crush Gaza with all our strength, destroy Hamas, and return to the Gaza Strip,” said Ben-Gvir in his statement.
The Minister’s remarks came after the “humanitarian pause” between Israel and Hamas came to an end. Ben-Gvir also issued a threat to dissolve the coalition government led by Benjamin Netanyahu if the attacks on Gaza were not resumed.
Following the end of the humanitarian pause, the Israeli army resumed its attacks on Gaza, leading to increased tensions in the region. Israeli forces dropped leaflets from the air in certain areas of Khan Younis, demanding the evacuation of residents as they declared the area a dangerous war zone.
The Gaza Ministry of Health has reported that since the end of the ceasefire, 178 Palestinians have lost their lives in the attacks carried out by Israel against Gaza. Journalists have also been targeted, with the Israeli army killing another journalist during its renewed attacks on the Gaza Strip.
On a positive note, Hamas released 8 hostages on the seventh day of the hostage exchange with Israel. The exchange agreement, which included a 4-day “humanitarian pause” in the clashes, has led to the release of Israeli and Palestinian prisoners.
The situation in Gaza remains tense, with continuing violence and casualties on both sides. The international community continues to monitor the developments in the region, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
