
Hungarian Tourist’s Fall at Romanian Waterfall

A Hungarian tourist had a terrifying experience while hiking in the Bihor Mountains in Romania. The man fell from the steep cliffs of the Săritoarea Bohodei waterfall, leading to a serious accident that required a lengthy rescue operation.
Rescue units were dispatched to search for the injured tourist, but the difficult terrain made it challenging to reach him. It took a grueling 11 hours before the man could be safely rescued and transported to the hospital for treatment.
Authorities explained that the rescue operation was prolonged due to the rugged conditions in the area. Rescuers had to navigate through rough terrain and fallen trees to reach the injured tourist, and lifting the stretcher proved to be a challenging task as well.
Thankfully, the man was eventually brought to the hospital for medical care. This incident highlights the risks associated with outdoor activities in remote areas, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and caution.
According to reports, a total of 23 people were rescued from the mountains in Romania in the past 24 hours, with nine of them requiring medical attention. The safety of hikers and tourists in the region remains a top priority for authorities.
