Interior Minister Sándor Pintér Engages in Health-Related Bilateral Talks with European Commissioner
Interior Minister Sándor Pintér recently participated in bilateral talks with European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, as announced by his ministry on Wednesday. The discussions centered around Hungary’s prioritized areas in the field of healthcare for its upcoming EU presidency. These include the fight against cardiovascular diseases, strengthening organ transplantation supply security, enhancing the affordability of medicine, preparation for potential health emergencies, and addressing the effects of climate change on mental health.
The ministry emphasized to MTI that Pintér and Kyriakides agreed on the importance of the Hungarian presidency’s program in advancing EU citizens’ security and welfare. Additionally, they both voiced their commitment to undertaking all necessary measures to ensure the success of Hungary’s EU presidency taking place in the second half of the year.
The dialogue reflects Hungary’s proactive approach to addressing critical health issues and fostering collaboration with EU stakeholders.
