Husanov Named Young Athlete of the Year, Dusmatov and Keldiyorova Honored as Best Athletes
The “National Sports Awards 2024” ceremony was held today, December 23, at the Museum of Olympic Glory in Tashkent. The event honored athletes and individuals who have made significant contributions to sports in Uzbekistan over the past year.
Hasanboy Dusmatov, a two-time Olympic champion in boxing, was named the Best Male Athlete of 2024. On the other hand, the Best Female Athlete of the Year title went to Diyora Keldiyorova, an Olympic champion in judo. Abdukodir Khusanov, a member of the Uzbekistan national football team and Lens football club, received the award for Best Young Athlete of the Year.
The Uzbekistan national boxing team was recognized as the Best Team of the Year, showcasing their excellence in the sport. Tulkin Kilichev was honored as the Coach of the Year for his dedication and leadership in boxing.
