Another Woman Murdered: Husband Confesses to the Crime
In a tragic and shocking incident, another woman has been murdered in Turkey. The victim, Saliha Gizem, was killed by her husband, Fırat Yıldızhan, in the Biga district.
Reports suggest that Yıldızhan, who had been living separately from his wife and was in the process of divorce, visited Gizem in the Lapseki district, claiming that he wanted to talk to her. He then took her by car towards Biga, where an argument ensued between them. Yıldızhan then proceeded to strangle Gizem with a rope, after which he buried her body in an excavation area in Çavuşköy location of Biga district.
After not hearing from Gizem for some time, her relatives reported the situation to the police. Subsequently, an investigation was launched, and it was discovered that Gizem had left Lapseki with Yıldızhan. The police were able to apprehend the suspect, who confessed to the murder and led them to the location where he had buried the body. In the morning, the police found Gizem’s lifeless body in the designated area.
The body was then sent to Mehmet Akif Ersoy Çanakkale State Hospital for autopsy, while the suspect’s procedures at the police station were ongoing.
This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing issue of violence against women in society. It is imperative that steps be taken to address and prevent such heinous crimes from occurring in the future. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Saliha Gizem during this difficult time.
