IETT Bus Collides with Billboard and Lighting Pole
A traffic accident occurred on the D-100 highway in Bahçelievler, Istanbul, involving an IETT bus and a minibus. The incident took place as the IETT bus was traveling towards Küçükçekmece on the side road when the driver lost control and collided with a lighting pole and advertising board on the pavement. Following the initial crash, a minibus coming from behind collided with the bus, exacerbating the situation.
Authorities were alerted to the scene, and police teams quickly arrived to secure the area. As a result of the accident, traffic on the side road was disrupted until the damaged vehicles could be cleared. Fortunately, the passengers on the bus escaped the incident unscathed, although both vehicles suffered extensive damage.
After the IETT bus was removed from the location, traffic flow resumed as normal. This serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and the need for all drivers to remain vigilant and cautious while on the road.
