IMF forecasts 6.5% GDP growth for Kyrgyzstan

According to the latest report from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kyrgyzstan is expected to experience a GDP growth of 6.5 percent in 2024. This update comes after the IMF initially projected a growth rate of 4.4 percent for the country. Looking ahead to 2025, the IMF forecasts a 5 percent growth rate for the Kyrgyz economy.
The report also highlights that the average annual inflation in Kyrgyzstan is expected to slow down to 5.1 percent this year. This positive development reflects a more stable economic outlook for the country.
On a global scale, the IMF had previously predicted a slowdown in world economic growth, with the lowest growth rate expected in 2029 at 3.1 percent. Analysts at the international financial institution are closely monitoring economic trends to provide accurate forecasts for the coming years.
Additionally, the Eurasian Development Bank reported a 4.2 percent GDP growth for member countries in the first eight months of 2024. This growth is attributed to strong domestic demand and positive economic dynamics in the region.
