President Erdoğan Delivers Speech on Transportation Projects in Istanbul
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently gave a speech highlighting the latest transportation projects in Istanbul. He emphasized the importance of continuing to invest in the city’s metro and rail system to ease transportation for its residents.
One of the key projects mentioned in his speech was the metro line extending to Istanbul Airport, which now operates at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour and has a capacity of 600 thousand passengers per day. Erdoğan also raised questions about the number of metro lines the metropolitan municipality has built in the past five years, criticizing what he referred to as lies and lack of progress in transportation infrastructure.
