Improved Public Transportation Payment System in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan with ATTO and Tulpor Cards Integration
Uzbekistan’s ATTO Cards Now Accepted for Public Transport Fares in Kyrgyzstan
A new partnership between Kyrgyzstan’s “Tulpor” company and Uzbekistan’s ATTO, the operator of an automated fare payment system, has opened up opportunities for easier travel between the two countries. According to reports from the Bishkek city administration, a memorandum of cooperation has been signed, allowing citizens to use their local “Tulpor” cards to pay for public transport fares within Uzbek cities, and vice versa for those using ATTO cards in Bishkek.
This move is expected to streamline the integration of transport systems and provide more convenient travel options for commuters. “This cooperation will not only accelerate the integration of transport systems but also make travel more convenient for everyone,” stated the report.
The process of merging the two systems has already begun, indicating a step towards closer transportation ties between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. With ATTO cards now accepted for public transport fares in Kyrgyzstan, and “Tulpor” cards in Uzbekistan, both citizens will have more flexibility and ease when traveling between the two countries.
