Improved Traffic Flow Near Budapest Airport
The M4 airport junction at Budapest Airport has been successfully renovated in just one month, with all the roads around the area now fully operational. This major project began on 2 April and was completed ahead of schedule, marking the end of weeks of hard work.
A total of 150,000 square kilometers of the M4 motorway were resurfaced last year, with an additional 15,000 square meters of pavement being smoothed out in April. Alongside this, bridges in the vicinity were also thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and reconstructed as needed.
Passenger traffic at Liszt Ferenc International Airport experienced a 20 percent increase last year, reaching 14.6 million passengers. By the end of the year, figures had almost reached the levels seen in 2019, a record-breaking year for the airport. British visitors were the most common, followed by Italian and German passengers.
Exciting news also arrived as plans for a new Budapest Airport Hotel were revealed yesterday, promising stunning visuals for visitors. In other developments, the EU has initiated an investigation against Hungarian airline Wizz Air – stay updated for further details.
Overall, the completion of the M4 airport junction renovation is a significant achievement for Budapest Airport and will surely enhance the travel experience for all passengers passing through this vital transportation hub.
