Police Seize Pen-Shaped Assassination Gun from Suspect with Criminal Record
During a routine patrol in the Fevzi Çakmak District, police officers stopped a man walking on the roadside and conducted a body search. The search revealed a pencil-shaped gun that holds 7.65 mm diameter cartridges, commonly known as an “assassination gun”, along with 4 loaded cartridges. The suspect, identified as AES, was taken into custody and brought to the police station, where it was discovered that he had a history of criminal offenses.
After the necessary procedures at the police station, AES was sent to the courthouse and later arrested by the court on duty. The incident has raised concerns about the prevalence of illegal firearms and the need for stricter enforcement of gun control laws.
