CHP and DEM Party to Hold Delegation Meeting in Parliament
The main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) and the Democracy and Progress Party (DEM) delegations are scheduled to meet in the Turkish Grand National Assembly tomorrow at 10.30.
The DEM Party İmralı delegation will pay a visit to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel during this meeting. Özel, who recently attended the 110th anniversary commemoration ceremonies of the Sarıkamış Operation, expressed that the possibility of a meeting between the two parties will be discussed further in the party’s Central Executive Board meeting.
In response to questions regarding the nature of the meeting, Özel emphasized the importance of establishing social consensus with the families of martyrs and veterans. He mentioned that the party’s decisions are influenced by the opinions of these families and the primary goal is to avoid taking actions that would cause them any harm.
The upcoming meeting between the CHP and DEM Party delegations is seen as a significant step towards fostering cooperation and dialogue between the opposition parties in Turkey. Both parties are expected to discuss various political strategies and initiatives aimed at serving the interests of the citizens and promoting unity within the country.
