Inaugural IMM Assembly Meeting Led by Chair Nuri Aslan

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Assembly convened for the first time under the chairmanship of Nuri Aslan. This meeting came after IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu was dismissed by the Ministry of Interior on March 26.

Nuri Aslan was elected as the new chairman with 177 votes during an extraordinary session of the Assembly. The election of municipal council members from different political groups was also a key agenda item. Ultimately, candidates from the CHP group secured 165 votes, while candidates from the AK Party group received 102 votes.

Furthermore, the members of various commissions were determined during the meeting. The Assembly announced that the next session would take place on Wednesday, April 16 at 14:00.
