The Interdepartmental Tariff Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers in Uzbekistan has made a decision to set the amount of monthly monetary compensation for gasoline at 128,700 soums starting from the second quarter of 2024. This decision, as reported by the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, marks an increase from previous quarters.

In the second quarter of 2023, the compensation for gasoline was 116,180 soums. This amount saw a 55% increase in the third quarter, reaching 119,640 soums, and further increased to 120,660 soums in the fourth quarter. From the first quarter of 2024, the compensation amount was set at 124,780 soums, before reaching the current amount of 128,700 soums.

It is important to note that these compensation payments for gasoline are financed by Uzbekneftegaz JSC. Individuals who are eligible to receive this compensation are advised to apply to the relevant authorities in charge of assigning pensions and benefits at their place of residence.

This decision by the Interdepartmental Tariff Commission reflects the government’s efforts to support and assist citizens in managing their expenses, particularly in relation to the cost of gasoline. As the price of goods and services continue to fluctuate, measures such as these aim to alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by the population.
