Security Measures Enhanced Ahead of Nooruz Holiday in Kyrgyzstan
As the Nooruz holiday approaches, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan is taking steps to enhance security measures. A comprehensive action plan has been developed to ensure public order and prevent traffic accidents during the festive period.
Festive events dedicated to Nooruz will be held in Bishkek, specifically on Turdakun Usubaliev Square (Old Square) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The celebrations will kick off with a theatrical prologue titled «Kel, kuttuu Nooruzum» which will feature vibrant dance performances and folklore elements symbolizing the transition from winter to spring and the awakening of nature.
Throughout the day, the square will host exhibitions showcasing traditional crafts, national sports competitions, and a festive concert with performances by local pop stars. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience Kyrgyz traditions by visiting Ordo (Kyrgyz Village) yurts.
In addition to the main event on Turdakun Usubaliev Square, festive activities will also take place in various parts of the city to mark the Nooruz holiday.
Authorities are urging the public to participate in the events responsibly and follow any security guidelines put in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration of Nooruz in Kyrgyzstan.
