Increased Transportation Services for Students during Winter Breaks on Domestic Routes
Authorities in Tashkent are gearing up to accommodate the approximately 118,000 students who will be traveling to various regions for the upcoming winter holidays. With safety and efficiency in mind, additional transportation measures are being implemented to ensure a smooth journey for the students.
A recent meeting, led by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, focused on the organization of the students’ trips to their permanent residences during the holiday season. The goal is to provide them with meaningful experiences while ensuring they have the opportunity to spend time with their families.
Collaboration with the Ministry of Transport will be key in executing practical measures to guarantee the safe movement of students. By December 26, additional bus and train routes will be set up if needed to accommodate the influx of travelers. If more than 40 students are looking to travel in the same direction from Tashkent, a special bus service will be arranged to meet their needs.
Furthermore, it was announced that students will be able to purchase airline and train tickets at a 50% discount, making it more accessible for them to travel to their destinations.
With these additional transportation measures in place, authorities are working diligently to ensure a hassle-free and enjoyable holiday season for the thousands of students traveling from Tashkent.
