In a recent statement, Sarı, a medical professional, addressed allegations made against him regarding the care provided in the neonatal intensive care unit. Sarı dismissed claims of insufficient staffing of nurses, babies being neglected leading to their disappearance, and inappropriate assignments of duty nurses. He emphasized that all procedures were followed accordingly.
“None of the incidents such as employing an insufficient number of nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit, babies being ‘missing’ due to lack of care, assigning an external duty nurse, or preparing a list such as being assigned to work in the intensive care unit while working in another unit of the hospital are all true,” Sarı stated.
Sarı also clarified the care protocol for babies in intensive care, noting that one nurse is responsible for four babies and that a full-time doctor is required. He assured that these procedures were being followed correctly, and there is no basis for the allegations made against him.
“There is no baby that ‘exists’ due to lack of care as claimed,” Sarı affirmed. “Normally, 1 nurse should take care of 4 babies in intensive care. A doctor should work full time. The full-time doctor is also mine. Everything is in accordance with the procedure.”
It is clear from Sarı’s response that he stands by the standard protocols and procedures in place for neonatal intensive care, refuting any claims of negligence or wrongdoing.
