Infant’s Mysterious Death in Zeytinburnu Hospital: Mother’s Innocence Disputed
A tragic incident occurred at a private hospital in Zeytinburnu, involving the untimely death of a newborn baby named Hamza. Feride Taşdemir and her husband Alaaddin Taşdemir were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their fourth child when they went to the hospital for the birth on January 16.
After a seemingly successful cesarean section, the family was informed that baby Hamza was in good health. However, just a day after his birth, concerns arose when he started experiencing respiratory distress. Hospital staff rushed the baby to the intervention room for treatment, where he stayed for 4 hours. Shockingly, the family claims that they were not provided with any updates during this critical period.
As the hospital prepared to transfer baby Hamza to another facility, they were met with refusal when the receiving hospital learned of the baby’s passing. The heartbreaking news was then delivered to the grieving Taşdemir family, leading them to suspect foul play in their baby’s sudden demise. In response, the family took their concerns to the authorities and filed a criminal complaint against the hospital.
Subsequently, baby Hamza was taken to the Yenibosna Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy on January 18. Following the necessary procedures, the baby was returned to his family for proper burial and closure.
The Taşdemir family’s heartbreaking ordeal has left them seeking answers and justice for the loss of their precious child. As the investigation unfolds, the community stands in solidarity with the grieving family, hoping for clarity and accountability in this tragic incident.
