Innovative Chameleon Smartphone Developed in China

Chinese company Realme has introduced a groundbreaking smartphone with a chameleon-like feature. The Realme 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ were unveiled at an event in Copenhagen, Denmark, and are set to revolutionize the smartphone industry.
Collaborating with Valeur Designers, Realme has incorporated a unique thermochromic rear panel on the devices. This panel has the ability to change color based on the surrounding temperature. For instance, when the temperature drops to 16°C, the back panel of the Realme 14 Pro transforms from pearly white to a vibrant blue. Conversely, when the temperature rises above 16°C, the color reverts back to white.
This innovative technology is made possible through the use of thermochromic pigments. It is important to note that over time, the color-changing effect may diminish due to the properties of the materials.
The flagship model, Realme 14 Pro+ 5G, boasts a curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. With incredibly thin 1.6mm bezels, the device is sleek at 8mm thick and offers IP69-rated protection against dust and water.
Realme developers have emphasized that there are currently no similar solutions in the industry. While other brands offer chameleon smartphones, they typically change color in response to lighting conditions and sunlight angles, not temperature.
This cutting-edge technology marks a new era in smartphone design and innovation, positioning Realme as a pioneer in the industry.
