Interior Ministry Announces Safe City System Implementation Across Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Ulan Niyazbekov, held an online meeting with the heads of police bodies to discuss the implementation of the Safe City system throughout the country.

During the meeting, Niyazbekov informed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its territorial divisions will be working on introducing the Safe City system as part of the Smart City project. The country’s president signed a decree on September 18, designating the Ministry of Internal Affairs as the authorized state body responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Safe City component.

The minister emphasized the importance of working closely with the information technology department and the financial and economic support department to ensure the successful implementation of the system. Niyazbekov also warned that strict measures would be taken against those who fail to comply with the requirements of the presidential decree.

This initiative aims to enhance security and surveillance measures in urban areas, promoting the safety and well-being of citizens. The implementation of the Safe City system is expected to provide a more efficient and effective approach to law enforcement and crime prevention in Kyrgyzstan.
