
Internship on a Ship for Transport Sector Students

Students from Turkmenistan’s Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications and the Maritime Secondary Vocational School in Turkmenbashi are currently gaining valuable experience through an internship on the passenger ship “Charlak,” belonging to the joint-stock company “Merchant Fleet.” This internship program, as reported by the Turkmendenizderyayollary agency, allows these aspiring sailors to learn from the captains of Merchant Fleet JSC. The captains are sharing their expertise in navigation and acquainting the students with the protocols for providing service to passengers.
The purpose of this internship is to prepare the students for their future roles as specialists in the maritime industry. In just a few years, these young sailors will be utilizing the practical skills and theoretical knowledge gained during this internship to contribute to the sea and river systems of Turkmenistan.
The hands-on experience and mentorship provided during this internship will undoubtedly prove to be invaluable as these students embark on their careers in the maritime sector.
