Inventors’ Makerspace Learning Center Launches in Bishkek
A new Makerspace Learning Center opens at American University of Central Asia
Bishkek – June 25, 2024: The American University of Central Asia has recently inaugurated a Makerspace Learning Center, aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov.
During the ceremony, Akylbek Japarov highlighted the importance of the center in providing a platform for inventors and innovators to create prototypes, launch production, and even export their products. He emphasized that the center will play a crucial role in supporting local talents and boosting economic growth through creative initiatives.
In his remarks, Akylbek Japarov also suggested that other universities in the country should follow the example set by the Makerspace laboratory and establish similar centers to further promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
As a symbolic gesture, Akylbek Japarov concluded the event by planting a tree in front of the new Makerspace Learning Center building. This act symbolizes the growth and development that the center is expected to bring to the university and the wider community.
The establishment of the Makerspace Learning Center is seen as a positive step towards nurturing a culture of creativity and resourcefulness in Kyrgyzstan, which can ultimately lead to a more dynamic and competitive economy in the region.
