Investigation Update on Terrorist Attack at Crocus City Hall by FSB Chief

More than 20 people have been detained in connection with a criminal case regarding the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall. The head of the Russian FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, made this announcement today at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Countries, which is currently taking place in Bishkek.

“The investigation is still ongoing, but we can confidently say that Ukrainian military intelligence is directly linked to this attack,” he stated.

The FSB director mentioned that the planning, financing, execution, and retreat of the terrorists were all coordinated through the internet by members of Wilayat Khorasan, who were based in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region.

“At the conclusion of the attack, the terrorists were given a specific order to head towards the Ukrainian border, where a ‘window’ had been prepared on that side,” Bortnikov revealed.

It is important to note that Wilayat Khorasan is considered a terrorist organization and is outlawed in the Russian Federation.

The horrific terrorist incident took place at Crocus City Hall on March 22. During a concert by a music band, four unidentified individuals dressed in camouflage, without masks, entered the venue and began shooting attendees at close range. Following the gunfire, they set the hall on fire, resulting in the tragic loss of 145 lives.
