Iphorists’ Revelation: 4 Secret Witnesses Unveiled
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crimes Office is currently conducting an investigation into crimes such as “establishing a criminal organization for the purpose of interest, the tender, and the inspection reports, tax inspection and inspector reports, with the involvement of 4 secret witnesses. These secret witness statements were obtained at the Branch Directorate of Financial Crimes during the course of the investigation.
The secret witnesses are identified by code names: Oak, Laden, Sycamore, and Principle. The details of their testimonies and statements have not been disclosed yet. However, there are allegations of various accusations being made in the investigation, which will be addressed to the suspects currently in custody during interrogations. Additionally, the investigation file contains technical and physical surveillance records for some of the detained individuals.
Aside from the secret witnesses, there are also 13 witnesses who have provided statements with their real names. These witnesses have testified about certain accusations related to the case. Furthermore, four “complainants witnesses have directly testified about the events they were involved in. The file also mentions the presence of ‘noticers’, although their identities and the nature of their notices are still unknown.
A total of 106 individuals have been detained in connection with the investigations, with 90 currently in custody. Nine individuals remain at large and are considered “fugitives”, while seven individuals who have been located abroad will face operations upon their return to the country. The developments in this case are ongoing, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
