Bishkek – On June 16, the national teams of Kyrgyzstan and Iran faced off at the Dolon Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek as part of the CAFA Nations Cup 2023 football tournament. The match was broadcasted on the Kyrgyz Sport TV Youtube channel.
In a dominant performance, Iran emerged victorious with a resounding 5-1 win over Kyrgyzstan. The lone goal for Kyrgyzstan was scored by Mirlan Murzaev. Despite the loss, Kyrgyzstan showed remarkable determination throughout the match.
Kyrgyzstan was placed in Group B alongside Afghanistan and Iran. Under the guidance of coach Stefan Tarkovic, the Kyrgyzstan team had secured a victory in their first match on June 10.
