Iran’s UN mission denies Trump’s claim of sending letter to Ayatollah Khamenei

Iran Dismisses Trump’s Claim of Letter to Ayatollah Khamenei for New Nuclear Deal Negotiations

The permanent mission of Iran to the United Nations has rejected the recent claim made by US President Donald Trump regarding sending a letter to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, proposing negotiations on a new nuclear deal. According to Press TV, the mission stated on March 7 that they have not received any such letter as of yet.

During an interview with Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo, President Trump mentioned that he had sent a letter to Ayatollah Khamenei and suggested negotiating with Iran on a deal concerning the country’s nuclear program. Trump expressed hope for negotiations, stating it would be beneficial for Iran. However, he also issued a warning of military action against Tehran.

Despite Trump’s claims, Tehran has consistently maintained that it does not have intentions to develop nuclear weapons. Trump emphasized the importance of diplomacy but also hinted at possible consequences if a new deal was not reached.

The situation remains tense between the US and Iran, with conflicting statements from both sides regarding the possibility of negotiations. As of now, Iran’s stance on the matter has been clear – no letter has been received, and the country remains cautious about potential talks with the US.
