Isias Hotel Case Enters Fourth Day; Detained Defendants to Remain in Custody
The İsias Hotel case, which is currently being discussed in Adıyaman 3rd High Criminal Court, saw new developments today during the trial.
The trial began at around 10:00 AM local time, with the first statement from the Public Prosecutor regarding the case’s merits. The prosecutor mentioned collecting evidence and evaluating the requests of the complainant lawyers. Following this, the decision was made to continue detaining the defendants. Additionally, the Public Prosecutor rejected the request for the arrest of the defendants who were not detained. Due to the unavailability of a prison facility following an earthquake, the request for the defendants to appear in court was also rejected. Some witnesses may be subject to a criminal complaint at the court’s discretion.
After the Public Prosecutor completed the statement on the case’s merits, the defendant’s lawyers and the defendants themselves were given the opportunity to present their case. Once all parties were heard, the President of the Court will announce the interim decision.
