Israeli Forces Wound 8 Palestinians in West Bank Clash

Illegal Jewish settlers increase their attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank

Recent reports from Palestinian sources indicate a rise in attacks by illegal Jewish settlers on Palestinian communities in various parts of the West Bank. Cities such as Qalqilya, Selfit, Hebron, and Bethlehem have been targeted by these settlers, leading to injuries and damage to property.

In one incident, Israeli soldiers were reported to have injured and detained a Palestinian in the village of Bakat al-Hatab, east of Qalqilya. Additionally, 5 Palestinians were injured in an attack by illegal Jewish settlers in the town of Burkin, west of Selfit. Settlers from the Bruchin illegal settlement have been accused of attacking Palestinians’ homes, vehicles, and shops in Burkin under the protection of Israeli soldiers.

Furthermore, armed Jewish settlers have reportedly attacked Palestinian homes in the village of Shib al-Butim in Msafer Yatta, south of Hebron, and even set fire to a vehicle. In Bethlehem, 2 Palestinians were injured and hospitalized after settlers stoned a vehicle near the illegal Gush Etzion settlement.

These incidents highlight the increasing violence and aggression towards Palestinians by illegal Jewish settlers in the West Bank. Since April 12, there have been a total of 7 fatalities and 75 injuries reported due to attacks by settlers and Israeli soldiers. Many houses and vehicles have been set on fire in Palestinian villages, including Mugayyir.

The presence of approximately 700 thousand Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem continues to be a contentious issue, as these settlements are considered illegal under international law. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has called for an end to the violence and for measures to protect Palestinian communities from further attacks.
