Israeli Tourist Arrested for Noise Violation in Tashkent Hotel

An Israeli citizen visiting Tashkent for a rather solemn reason ended up causing disturbances at a hotel due to intoxication. Alexander Khaustav, who flew in from Israel to visit his parents’ cemetery in Tashkent, found himself in trouble with the law after causing a ruckus at a hotel in the Chilanzar district.

According to the court verdict reported by UzNews.uz, on May 16, hotel staff called the Tashkent city DIA hotline to report Khaustav’s disruptive behavior. The intoxicated man was playing loud music at night and even urinated on hotel furniture, disturbing the peace of other guests. When the police arrived to intervene, Khaustav resisted their efforts to take him to the department of internal affairs.

During the trial, Khaustav confessed to his actions and explained that he had come to Tashkent specifically to pay his respects at his parents’ graves. However, the court found him guilty of petty hooliganism, violating noise regulations, and disobeying a law enforcement officer’s orders.

As a result, Alexander Khaustav was sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest and fined 533 thousand soums. The incident serves as a reminder to all travelers to respect local laws and customs when visiting foreign countries, even during times of personal grief.
