The International Tourism Exhibition Issyk-Kul ITF 2024 Kicks Off in Kyrgyzstan
The highly anticipated International Tourism Exhibition Issyk-Kul ITF 2024 has officially started in the picturesque region of Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan. Held at the Rukh-Ordo cultural center in the city of Cholpon-Ata, this marks the 16th edition of the ITF exhibition with more than 120 tourism industry companies and over 3,000 visitors in attendance.
The exhibition serves as a platform for tourism businesses to connect, showcase their products, and explore potential cooperation opportunities. Organizers highlight the event as a valuable resource for tourists looking to discover the diverse offerings of Kyrgyzstan, including the summer destinations in regions like Jalal-Abad, Batken, and Talas.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sanzhar Bolotov, underlined the government’s commitment to enhancing the tourism sector through infrastructure development initiatives. Projects focusing on airport reconstruction, road repairs, and the creation of cultural, entertainment, and sports facilities are underway to improve the overall tourism experience in the country.
“The exhibition is a vital forum for discussing tourism products and identifying avenues for sectoral growth. Our priority is to enhance infrastructure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for tourists while promoting environmental conservation,” noted Deputy Minister Bolotov.
In his welcoming address, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to Issyk-Kul region, Ulanbek Daliev, emphasized the significance of the exhibition for both the region and Kyrgyzstan’s tourism sector. He underscored the importance of leveraging such platforms to expand the country’s tourism potential on the international stage and foster partnerships within the industry.
