Istanbul Governorship Releases List of Traffic-Closed Roads
The Istanbul Governorship has announced the closure of certain roads and alternative routes in the city until Wednesday, March 26, as part of precautionary measures. In a statement released by the Governor’s Office, it was mentioned that in addition to the measures implemented on March 19, some roads will be closed to traffic.
The roads that will be closed until the end of the measures starting from 16.00 today include Fevzipaşa Street, Hungarian Kardesler Street, July 15 Şehitler Street, Şehzadebaşı Street, Vezneciler Street, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha Street, Ataturk Boulevard, Sahil Kennedy Street, Samatya-Sirkeci, Reşadiye Street, Ragıp Gümüşpala Street, and all connecting roads.
As an alternative route, drivers can use 10.Yıl Street, Namık Kemal Street, Sahil Kennedy Street, and E-5 D-100 road to bypass the closed roads.
In related news, it was denied that transportation support given to university students was cut off. Additionally, an assembly meeting between Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and Beylikdüzü Municipality is scheduled to take place on March 26. Lastly, a trustee was appointed to Şişli Municipality in a recent development.
