January Inflation Expectations Survey Findings Released – Update
AA Finans announced the results of the Turkish Statistical Institute’s inflation data for January on Monday, February 3. The data was based on a survey that included the input of 20 economists.
The average inflation expectation of the economists who participated in the survey was 4.29 percent. Their predictions for January’s inflation ranged from 3.75 percent to 5 percent.
Based on the average inflation expectation of 4.29 percent for January, it is predicted that annual inflation, which was at 44.38 percent in the previous month, will decrease to 41.11 percent.
Looking ahead, economists also shared their inflation expectations for the end of 2025, with a forecast of 27.58 percent as of January. In December 2024, the consumer price index had increased by 1.03 percent.
These predictions provide valuable insight into the economic landscape in Turkey, as economists continue to monitor inflation levels and make predictions for the future.
