Jason Momoa dons the Batman suit in upcoming film!
Jason Momoa may be returning to the DC Universe, but not as Aquaman. With James Gunn’s future in the franchise uncertain, Momoa has been in talks with the director and it is speculated that he will continue to appear in DC movies with a new character.
Recently, Momoa tried his luck as Batman in a theme park commercial. Although the funny images raised the question of whether he will play Batman in the new DC Universe, it is unlikely. Momoa has always stated that his favorite comic book character is Lobo and he definitely wants to play him at some point. Therefore, the new role that he and Gunn agreed on will likely be announced as Lobo.
The first Batman movie of the new DC Universe will be “The Brave and Bold” with Superman: Legacy being its precursor. Robin will also make a comeback in this adventure.
Meanwhile, Momoa is set to appear once again as Aquaman in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”, which will be released at the end of the year. It is currently unknown what the future holds for the character beyond this film.
