Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev Named Head of Uzbekistan Airports
Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev has officially been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports JSC. After serving in an interim capacity since August 2023, he has now been confirmed in this leadership role.
The decision was made by the sole shareholder, represented by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, on June 20, 2024, as reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.
Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev brings with him a wealth of experience in the aviation sector, having started his career at Uzbekistan Airways in 2008. He has held various positions within the industry, including heading the aviation security department of NAC from 2009 to 2018 and serving as the First Deputy Chairman of the Board for Operations at Uzbekistan Airports from 2021 to 2023.
In between, he also worked as the deputy head of the capital construction directorate and technical director for the implementation of the Tashkent-East project at Uzbekistan Railways JSC from 2018 to 2021.
With his extensive background and experience, Javlonbek Umarkhodjayev is well-equipped to lead Uzbekistan Airports JSC into a successful future. Congratulations to him on his new role as Chairman of the Board.
