Joint Military Drills Between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan at Forish Training Ground
The joint military exercises between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, under the name “Cooperation-2024,” have come to a successful conclusion at the Forish training ground in the Jizzakh region. These exercises, which aimed to enhance bilateral military coordination and preparedness, were overseen by senior military officials, including Major General Shuhrat Kholmukhamedov, Chief of the General Staff of Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces, and Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov from Kazakhstan.
The exercises were conducted in two main stages, each designed to simulate real-life military threats. In the first stage, a small armed group crossed the state border illegally through mountainous paths, seeking refuge in local homes to distract attention and create favorable conditions for operations in other directions.
As the scenario progressed to the second phase, a mock enemy amassed large military units near the borders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, preparing for an incursion. Military units from both countries collaborated to develop countermeasures, with a focus on neutralizing sabotage operations and preventing large-scale attacks on key strategic facilities.
Upon the conclusion of the drills, the top military officials from both nations praised the professionalism and contributions of their respective armed forces. Distinguished servicemen from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were recognized and awarded for their exceptional performance and outstanding contributions during the joint exercises.
These joint exercises represent a significant milestone in strengthening military cooperation between the two Central Asian neighbors and enhancing their capabilities to respond to potential threats in the region.
