Joyful Celebrations: The Essence of Our Identity – BRTK
UBP Nicosia District Chairman, MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, recently took to his personal social media account to express his excitement and gratitude towards the guests who visited our country, particularly President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during the Peace and Freedom Day celebrations.
Dr. Savaşan highlighted the beautiful and meaningful proof of the existence and effectiveness of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as demonstrated by the shows of the Turkish Armed Forces and the overwhelming participation of the people in the celebrations.
Reflecting on the 50th anniversary of the July 20 Happy Peace Operation, Dr. Savaşan emphasized the importance of acknowledging the ongoing struggle in finding a solution to the Cyprus problem. Despite 50 years passing since the 1974 Peace Operation, the lack of resolution is attributed to the neglect of these undeniable realities.
Dr. Savaşan expressed his optimism for success as long as the enthusiasm and commitment of the people persist. He extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, especially President Erdoğan, the brave members of the Turkish Armed Forces, the youth shaping the future, the children who bring love and joy, and all citizens contributing to the celebrations.
The continued support and unity displayed during the Peace and Freedom Day celebrations exemplify the strong foundation and determination of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the pursuit of a lasting solution to the Cyprus problem.
