Kahramanmaras Neighborhood Welcomes 1,300+ New Apartments

The construction of 1,323 apartments in the Azerbaijan Quarter, located in the Onikisubat district of Kahramanmaras, Türkiye, has been completed, and the owners will soon receive their keys.
The buildings in this quarter are unique as they are designed to withstand seismic activity, considering the district lies in a seismic zone. Covering 1.8 million square meters, the Azerbaijan Quarter will not only house apartments but also host restaurants, shops, and other commercial establishments.
In addition, the Heydar Aliyev School, constructed in Kahramanmaras with the support of the Azerbaijani government, was highlighted by the television channel.
The broadcast also shed light on the assistance provided by Azerbaijan following the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye in February 2023.
According to the channel’s correspondent, Murat Karatas, Azerbaijan was the first country to lend a helping hand to Türkiye during this catastrophic event. Azerbaijani rescue teams remained in the quake-affected provinces until the end, providing critical support.
After the earthquakes, over 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid were sent from Azerbaijan to Türkiye. This aid was delivered in 395 trucks, 15 airplanes, and 25 railway cars. Additionally, Azerbaijan offered financial assistance amounting to up to 300 million Turkish liras.
The support from brotherly Azerbaijan played a crucial role in helping Türkiye recover from the aftermath of the earthquakes. The relationship between the two countries has strengthened through mutual aid and cooperation, showing the importance of solidarity in times of need.
