Kamchybek Tashiev’s Vision for Kyrgyz Football Union Development

Kamchybek Tashiev Outlines Plans to Revitalize Kyrgyz Football

Newly elected President of the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU), Kamchybek Tashiev, has wasted no time in addressing the main issues plaguing the country’s football scene. In a recent briefing, Tashiev highlighted three key areas that he intends to focus on: the development of football infrastructure, revival of youth football, and strengthening the domestic championship.

Tashiev emphasized the need to address the lack of proper football facilities in many parts of the country. Promising to build stadiums in every village, he stressed the importance of creating opportunities for aspiring young footballers.

“We have to revive youth football at the local level, especially in cities, to open children’s youth clubs and academies,” Tashiev stated. “Football needs to be learned, it’s not just kicking a ball on the street and becoming a football player. There must be a football academy that will train children from 7-8 to 16-18 years old.”

The KFU President also revealed plans for the construction of a “hybrid stadium” in the Jalal-Abad region, marking a significant milestone for Kyrgyzstan’s sporting infrastructure.

“A new football field is being built, which has never existed in our country, with new technologies. It will be a hybrid stadium. Construction will be completed in two or three months,” Tashiev announced.

In addition to these initiatives, major repairs are set to be carried out at the central stadiums of Bishkek, Kara-Balta, and Tokmak.

Tashiev’s appointment as the head of the KFU comes at a pivotal time for Kyrgyz football, following the resignation of the union’s former president. With a clear vision and ambitious plans for the future, Tashiev’s leadership is poised to bring about significant changes and improvements to the country’s football landscape.
