Social media phenomenon Kartal Bulut Doğan was arrested for insulting and cursing Prophet Muhammad, religion, and Atatürk’s mother
Well-known social media broadcaster Kartal Bulut D. has been arrested after videos surfaced of him making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad, religion, and Atatürk’s mother Zübeyde Hanım. The controversial content sparked outrage among viewers, prompting the Karşıyaka Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office to launch an investigation.
A detention warrant was issued for Kartal Bulut D. and he was apprehended by Security Branch Directorate forces at his residence. Despite receiving backlash for his offensive comments, Kartal Bulut D. defiantly responded by telling people to “go and complain”.
In his statement to the police, Kartal Bulut D. admitted to consuming alcohol during the broadcast. Following the necessary legal procedures, the blasphemer was taken to court and subsequently arrested. He has been remanded in custody pending further legal action.
